In this learning session, participants will explore the important role fathers play in families and communities. The session highlights how fathers can be positive, active partners in parenting—without diminishing the vital role of mothers. Families take many forms, and not all fathers live in the same home as their children. Through a focus on coparenting and shared parenting, this skill builder examines ways to support ongoing father involvement. When parents share child-rearing responsibilities, children are better supported, and families grow stronger. By the end of the learning session, participants will gain knowledge of father engagement and apply shared parenting principles to better support children, families, and communities.
