Micro-Learning: Understanding Poverty

Poverty measures are the dollar thresholds that vary based on family size. The term poverty often evokes strong emotions due to its association with the real experiences of individuals, families, and communities labeled as impoverished. In this micro-learning session, learners will explore the history of poverty and how poverty measurements impact the well-being of individuals, communities, and families. They will also investigate the deeper effects of poverty in relation to the generational well-being of families. You will receive a certificate of professional learning time after completing the learning. If continuing education or professional learning is required for licensing purposes, please reach out to your organization or institution to ensure they will accept the certificate. Learners will engage in a short learning session where they will understand poverty, the impact of poverty on family well-being, and positive family outcomes.
